Oh yeah. This is going to be an epic 30 days. Much like my first full complete round last year, Day 2 is full of sunshine and lingering rainbows chased by thunderclouds of headache.
But I still have that starry-eyed semi-innocence going on. I’ll enjoy that fakery as long as I can.
I’m still having serious dehydration issues and wildly swinging glucose levels after Saturday’s Half marathon. This morning, I wasn’t hungry, but I ate a banana anyway. It stayed where it was supposed to along with my black..BLACK coffee in a travel mug. Stephen wisely didn’t say anything, just handed me his favorite travel mug filled with black coffee.
I really don’t have much to say today. It’s tuesday, so that is already a big red X on my day. Throw in a crazy endocrine system and some leftover endorphins from a successful first day of Whole 30 and I don’t know whether to wind my butt or scratch my watch.
Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: Chicken soup (from the freezer)
Snack: water, apple, cashews
Dinner: Sweet potatoes with coconut oil, pan seared chicken thighs with mustard sage sauce. I made just the chicken from this recipe with no wine and Whole 30 compliant mustard (no wine in the mustard).
The headache started in early this evening. I know if I can get past the headache, I should have a good run of a week or so before the cravings kick in again, but the headaches will go away for good as long as I drink my water. That is one of my biggest health FAILS. I rarely drink enough water. Or any water, to be honest, other than water during a workout.
28 more days…I can do this.
