Welcome back to my little space on the web. The end of 2017 was wild, chaotic, and a roller coaster of emotions. Along the way, I’ll back-post some things for the sake of life documentation, but I’m ready to jump into January!

So what’s coming up in January?  Things I’m REALLY excited about. I’m adding new monthly features to this site, and I can’t wait to explore this new direction of planning and writing.

Coming up

I have spent the last few weeks looking ahead to what this blog means to me and which direction I want to go in 2018. For the past couple of years, this blog has maintained a very steady and successful stream of traffic on my recipe posts, alone. And while that is great and I’m extremely thankful for the many people who have reached out to tell me they love my recipes, I want to do more than just recipes. I have much more to talk about in between cooking good food!

What’s NOT going to change? My voice. My ever-evolving sense of sarcasm. My ability to laugh at myself, love myself, and still want to better myself. The daily diary-type posts are here to stay which is where said sarcasm often flows. 

I’m going WAY back to the beginning of how and WHY this blog began. I wanted a place to write out my feelings due to running injuries. It became a healthy lifestyle food blog. Now, it’s a healthy lifestyle blog. I’ve come full circle and I couldn’t be more content or happy.

I’ve made a return to spending time with my camera, using pen and paper to write out my notes, and curling up with a cup of coffee and my laptop to share on my little corner of the web. I hope you’ll continue the ride with me.
