We are off to Savannah and Hilton Head, SC. The race is Saturday in Savannah and we decided to do a fall beach stay in Hilton Head Island. Neither one of us have been to HHI and we both need to see some waves and salty air.
My first impression of Savannah..love love love. We will definitely have to come back and stay in Savannah. I loved the old Cypress trees, the historical homes, and the quirky downtown area. There is so much to do and see here.
We were in a bit of a hurry to pick up the race stuff and browse the expo. We grabbed a quick burrito bowl at Chipotle.

We finally made it to the beach. The sun was almost gone and I was cold. We went out to the sand for about 2 minutes and then went to find dinner. The beach will be there tomorrow.
We are staying in a condo rental place that has a sports bar in the main lobby. We were tired and very hungry so we ate at Coconutz Sports Bar where I had the best steak fries. These are basically quartered potatoes. The cheeseburger was great, too. I’m so accustomed to bunless burgers, but I should have ordered a double. I was still hungry after demolishing this!

Tomorrow is race day! I’m equally excited and nervous. It’s been a rough few weeks.
