Life’s about to get busy

Tomorrow starts a 4 week session of exercise/nutrition boot camp. I’m taking part of Adventure Boot Camp of Tuscaloosa and I’m very excited about this. If anybody in town has been thinking about doing this, SIGN UP for the next session. I haven’t attended the first day yet, but after meeting Mallory Cargile today, I am very impressed. This girl knows her stuff! For more information, check this out ——->Boot camp!!

I forgot to mention that I live about 35 miles away so I’ll be getting up very early to do this, but I’m still excited!! I have my oatmeal ready, my stuff to make a post-workout green monster, my school clothes, and my after school spinning clothes. I’m officially a pack mule.

This week is also the dreaded DIBELS reading test.

And, in the morning, after my first session of boot camp, I get to take a bunch of 5-6 year olds to the local Barnyard. Please pray nobody falls into the pond. Or gets kicked by a donkey. Or pecked by the chicken. Or lost. Or any other potential issues I can’t think of right now.

Dinner today was excellent! I threw this together in about 20 minutes. I promise!

veggies

onions, peppers, celery

sausage2

sausage

sausage3

Added some chipotle.

Add red beans and brown rice. This is a much cleaner version of a childhood favorite. The sausage has sugar in the ingredient list, but it’s not in the top 5 and the label reads that it has 4 grams in a serving. It’s not perfect, but it’s much better. 7 grams of fat in 2 links which is what I used to make the whole pan. I had enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch.

Time for sleep! I have to get up early early early. I need some zzzzzzz’s.

Good post...I agree that clean eating is WAY better than any 100 calorie pack of processed junk!
