I can hear everything with Verizon Wireless

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Verizon Wireless.

A few years ago, when  we moved to our little corner of Alabama, we had a problem. Our current cell service would not reach to our house, neighborhood, route to work, or route to visit family. It worked on the main roads and interstate only. We thought we were out of luck until we found a neighbor using a cell phone and found out Verizon cell service was clear as a bell. We switched providers and never looked back. That same service came in quite handy during car trouble, getting lost on a trail run, using GPS to locate remote places, and many other incidents over the last couple of years. When we had our devastating tornado tragedy in 2011, Verizon came through with portable towers since the permanent ones were blown away. When we were going non-stop for hours with disaster relief, cell service became more than a luxury. We needed that service to find the most crucial needs as quickly as possible. I will never forget seeing the Verizon equipment setting up late that first full day.

And now that 3G service is even better. Verizon now has 4GLTE (4th Generation Long-Term Evolution) service that reaches out to the country where we live. Here are a couple of points about 4GLTE:

  • The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is the largest commercial 4G LTE network in the nation, covering more of the U.S. population than any other 4G LTE network.
  • Our 4G LTE network is available to more than 303 million people across the country – more than 95 percent of the U.S. population.
  • Our 4G LTE network covers more than 99 percent of our 3G network footprint. Our 4G LTE network supports a wide variety of 4G LTE-enabled devices ranging from tablets and mobile hotspots to the latest smartphones and more. Visit www.verizonwireless.com/4GLTE to check out the 4G LTE devices for consumers.

To put it in everyday terms, the service is faster and clearer and reaches more people. . I definitely like that.

iPhone 4 vs iPhone 5s

When Verizon began distributing the iPhone 4, I wondered how I waited so long to get one. I was a loyal smartphone user, but the iPhone 4 was just insane with the ease of use! I thought I would miss the QWERTY keyboard, but it took about 3 days to get over that. And I was very happy with my 4…

….until IOS 7 came out a few weeks ago. All of a sudden, my tool for living and sharing and blogging and texting became a slow chugging dinosaur. I couldn’t get the apps to function right, Safari just stopped in the middle of the floor and pitched a tantrum. I promise the thing laughed at me when I tried to take a picture and post to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook simultaneously. To be blunt, I was ready to throw the thing across the yard and go back to smoke signals and SOS rocks.

Through Fitfluential, I had the opportunity to review the latest iPhone and it is the iPhone 5S. I was ecstatic to try it out and use all the new features that make my 4 weep in a corner. Take a look at a few of those features:

  • Crystal clear retina display
  • Lightening fast with the A7 chip with 64-bit technology. (2xs faster than A6 which is in the iPhone 5)
  • Fantastic camera. The redesigned 8 megapixels mean clearer pictures and faster shutter speed. It also includes FaceTime in HD. But the biggest part is the f/2.2 Aperture!!! My Canon lens for food photography is f/1.8. At that aperture, I can capture serious sharpness.
  • Fingerprint scan. I didn’t realize how much I would like this. I use my fingerprint to open, unlock, purchase from iTunes, etc.
