Getting to normal.

It feels like a long time since I’ve had anything “normal” since school let out in June. But today was as normal as it gets for a teacher on summer break!

I got up, ran a few miles before the heat zapped all will to live, went shopping for school supplies, finally bought food for the house and washing powder to tackle the herculean hill of laundry and dishes, and cooked a real dinner. It was a glorious day!

Oh and marathon training started today. I’m off to a good start. Other than the fact my medial ligament has not recovered from the ice incident.

Walmart knew I was coming. I bought 3 class sets.

Walmart did not know how this would upset me. They are usually .33 each. I remember when they were .25. Is there a wax shortage I’m not aware about?

Shaken teas. This is something mojito berry something. It was good. I managed to finish it before the heat melted the whole thing.

Found a fish tackle box to organize the washi. Why do I have this much tape?

And finally, dinner. Grilled salmon with cilantro lime dressing. So good and refreshing with the lime and fresh cilantro. This isn’t camping food.
