GAMEDAY is in Tuscaloosa!

It usually happens at least once a season, but this year, ESPN Gameday is in Tuscaloosa early. They came out for the “rematch” of Ole Miss and Alabama. I got up early and headed to the Quad to see what was shaking this morning.

I wonder if this guy will let me borrow his houndstooth britches. I need them for “you can’t wear an Alabama shirt with jeans on Friday. ONLY school shirts with jeans” I’m now wearing as much houndstooth, crimson, elephants, etc as I can pile on my body on Fridays. I’m just not wearing a Tshirt Winking smile

I’m writing all this up AFTER the game. Which means I’m not mentioning the score, or the botched Tuscaloosa News headline (the game went way past midnight. They already had “REVENGE” front pages….and they already had them delivered to some businesses). I’m not going to mention the horrendous doom and gloom around the town Sunday morning. We just aren’t going to talk about it. We are so very used to winning and when we lose, it burns. Everybody starts questioning if we can win SEC again and have a spot in the 4-team playoff.

It’s only September. There is so much more ball to play. I’m sticking with that story as we head into what ESPN has declared “the toughest schedule in college football” that we have left.

Roll Tide.
