Yes. I went there. Cue the music and sing along. Because THIS happened.
The day started off with a trip to the metropolis of Kamas UT for bait. We had some fun at the Ace Hardware. But they probably won’t let us back in. Between costume changes and Stephen yelling in his best Randy Quaid voice “where can I get some dam bait?” I think our days of cruising the hardware store are over.
But then we went fishing/ hiking and the snow started. Big round pellets that looked like doll stuffing.
It got worse.
We drove to a nearby shower fascilitites so we could warm up and get some dinner. We couldn’t build a fire in a wet snow storm anyway. We drove back to town on icy roads.
We stopped for dinner at The Gateway Grille in Kamas. It was filled with snowed out campers so we fit right in. I got the best grilled salmon and hot fries.
Then we slowly drove up the mountain to our frozen tent. The views were amazing.
But being cold is not. This is certainly a memorable part of our trip.
I need someone to “Do the magic, do the magic!!” and make my tent warm.
Stay tuned…
