We made it from Alabama to Colorado Springs in one long drive!
This year, as a family of 3, we left Alabama at 8:30pm and rolled into Colorado Springs at 7pm the next day. Atlas slept most of the way and we just kept driving until we got here. Year 9 out west!
We had to improvise for our road trip meals. Due to the heat in Oklahoma ad Texas, we certainly couldn’t leave Atlas in the truck. Tailgating works even in the foodball off-season.
Speaking of fast food, these protein bowls from Taco Bell are GREAT for those who need fast gluten-free food. Pick your protein and they add it to spicy rice, beans, and vegetables.
Over the next few weeks, we have plans for hitting up our most favorite spots in Colorado. Pike’s Peak, Breckenridge, Frisco, Telluride, Silverton, Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, and Crested Butte. Stay tuned for plenty of pictures.
