With winter rapidly running over our 2-week fall in Alabama, I was ecstatic to receive this Buff technical headband for review.

I’ll be the first to admit that running in frigid air is not my favorite. I don’t love freezing face skin and wind in my ears. I bundle up like the Abominable Snowman when the air dips to the 30s.

I’ve heard great things from other runners about Buff headbands. When I read the features of this tech fleece, I knew I wanted to check it out for myself.

Buff Tech Headband features

Uses for this headband

I plan to use this headband primarily for running during the winter months here at home. It’s hard to think of the Deep South as being cold, but we definitely have our “cold snaps” that last a few days at a time. These are usually during the long dark months of January and February.

Another time to use this headband is during our summers out west. We spend every June traveling the highest alititude we can find in Colorado, Montana, Utah, etc.

I have used regular fleece headbands in the past while hiking out west. They didn’t exactly work very well. They either allowed too much wind or were so warm it didn’t allow breathability. Both are deal breakers for me, so I’m very excited to try another type of headband.
