Back to the grind!

After a two week hiatus to immerse myself in the joys of strep throat and sinus infection, I went back to CrossFit. I missed my morning workouts! I knew that I might have a hard time depending on the workout. My lungs are not happy, but neither am I when I’m not running or crossfitting.

This morning’s WOD included a lot of running and some good intense lifting.

WOD:
For time:

  • 1200m Run
  • 32 Deadlifts(82#)
  • 800m Run
  • 16 Front Squats(62#)
  • 400m Run
  • 8 Clean and Jerks(62#)

I finished in 20:19 and didn’t die. That’s always a good day.

I miss running. I miss training. I was supposed to run short intervals tonight, but I just don’t have it in me. I’m going to crash hard in about 30 minutes.

The calorie counting thing took a huge nosedive today when I loaded my fitbit.

image Today was the first day I had a workout calculated and I didn’t get near my adjusted calorie goal .  Using my weight and height, Fitbit calculated 787 calories burned in CrossFit!! The rest was through daily steps.  I should have made another protein drink for this afternoon.

Lunch in my Bento box was leftover tomato bean soup, broccoli carrots with hummus, and grapes. I ate the yogurt and granola during snack time.

Dinner was a quick grab salad from Subway. Stephen was in town for a training class so we met for dinner. I got banana peppers for the first time on my salad. I had no idea who that woman was who said very plainly “banana peppers”, but I ate them and I will get them again. Although, to be honest, I couldn’t tell much of a difference between those and a pickle. Lovely iphone pic. And I had my good camera in my bag, but was too lazy to get it.

Guess what I did when I got home? Crashed for two hours. I feel like death warmed over now. And I was starving. Turkey and cheese and OJ. I’ve been craving orange juice a lot lately.

BUT, I have to get ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow’s WOD is INSANE. It will have it’s own post. It will consist of 52 exercises based on a deck of cards. I’m actually excited about this! Ask me again at 7am how excited I am. 😐
