Once upon a time, at the age of 17, I boarded a tiny (to me) plane all by myself in Indianapolis, Indiana. I had spent the week with family and had a blast driving around the city, including the 465, and it was time to fly home.

I had never been on a plane before. This was my first plane trip and I was by myself. The adventurer in me was ecstatic! Indianapolis is where I learned that I was going to travel and travel often in my life.

And now, many years later, I am participating in a virtual challenge to go the distance of the 465 around Indianapolis. The 465 Virtual Challenge is designed to go beyond the typical two-week new year resolution.

Overachievers, listen up. Join the 24 Hour Club by completing 53 miles in 24 hours. You can also complete more than 1 Loop (53 miles) for the Looper club. Get social status from FB/IG/Twitter and on the website.

Let everyone know!

Keep in mind, this is a SOCIAL VIRTUAL race. You do NOT have to be from Indianapolis and please do not lace up and go run on the interstate. I’m pretty sure that’s illegal, anyway.

What you CAN do, is share your progress with the rest of us! Use the #465challenge and tag @465challenge on IG, Facebook, and Twitter!

Happy New Year and see you around the (virtual) 465!
