10 on 10 February

10 0n 10 February

10 photos on the 10th of every month. This is a photo challenge I can actually accomplish. It’s hard to believe that I once completed a 365 challenge before the age of picture phones. 2008 was just me and a Kodiak and then my first Canon. I learned 99% of what I know about photography from that year and it led me to food photography, which is my comfort zone.

I saw this feature from a blog called TenonTen and I love the idea of it. The “rules” state taking a picture once an hour for 10 hours on the 10th of each month. My version: get 10 pictures on the 10th. I’m a teacher and I absolutely do not post pictures of children on my blog. I will, however, try to send some links to some very creative teachers out these who share their ideas on pinterest and TeachersPayTeachers.

So here we go for Sunday, February 10th.  This is the second day that I felt like hot garbage. I woke up with a massive sinus infection, fever,  and glass in my throat. I wasn’t in too big of a hurry to get up and moving. Atlas read my mind.

AtlasBreakfast of champions. Hot tea with a lemon and orange. Mucinex with sudafed, which usually works miracles. Crossing my fingers.

fluIt was definitely a slow cooker day. I had a roast that needed to be cooked. I also knew  that I would either feel a whole lot better or majorly worse by dinner time. That’s just how these things work for me. I made my gluten free pot roast with the easiest convenience items I had. Go ahead and throw me some shade for the chemical stew in that onion soup package.

2019-02-10 08.55.47Atlas is a Brittany Spaniel. These dogs are natural bird hunters. Their job is to zone in on birds and “point” by lifting and bending one leg. The first time he did it, he had found a piece of trash. We were so proud! Now, his morning job is to chase birds. He watches from the kitchen window and then we sneak him outside slowly. He literally creeps slowly across the back porch waiting to run for birds.

Then, he loves to go jousting with the biggest stick or small tree he can find.

2019-02-10 10.30.00Yeah, this stuff is not moving out of my head. Hot bath with epsom salts and a new book.

bathTime to find a substitute for tomorrow. Fever is 102 and I feel absolutely awful. I already had the flu so this can’t be it again…right?? And, might as well work on a couple of blogging projects (SEO and Pinterest) while I’m sitting upright.

bloggingNap time. I’m alternating between freezing and burning up and wanting to find some Nyquil and call it a day. It’s only 3pm. After attempting to sleep, I need to work on my planner for this week. This is the “before the pen” setup. I’m pretty stuck in this routine and I like it. I make my own headers for the EC Life planner. Home, School, Notes. Then, I decide which sticker theme I want to use. Notice I already blocked in “sick day” for Monday and Tuesday? It’s 7pm and I’m giving up the hope that it’s ONLY a sinus infection. Once I get my shots for those, I can work through the misery. But this is more and I’m going to dr tomorrow to find out what’s going on.

ec februaryAfter my regular planner, it’s time to work on my petite planners. I need to figure out a menu and all I can think about is chicken soup and ice cold sprite. I’m also pretty sure my Wellness log is going to be empty of activity and steps for a couple of days. My goal setting planner is not even getting cracked today.

ec folioI got tired of the kitchen and living room and felt like binging some Gilmore Girls and finishing some reading. Off to the office.

officeYay! I love book mail. This means a publishing house has given me an advanced copy of a book to read and review. This one sounds like a thriller and I may have to read it while waiting for meds to kick in.
